Prisoner Newsletters

Until Freedom is CCF’s prisoner publication mailed to prisoners on CCF’s list. The newsletter is one of the ways we engage with prisoners to foster a sense of community, belonging, and connection. Our newsletter provides prisoners with relevant, helpful, resourceful, hopeful, educating, and uplifting information. The newsletter is printed in color on a large single paper and uniquely folded to maximize the amount of content provided in each newsletter.

For us, this publication is more than just a combination of words and images. It’s a way of sharing all that’s happening within and outside of our organization. Our victories, struggles, and ongoing actions are all put together and mailed directly to our prisoners. The title Until Freedom came through a collective naming process in which we asked prisoners to mail us suggestions for titles and descriptions for this newsletter. Through that, we were able to identify common themes in how our prisoners viewed CCF and this newsletter to curate this title. The title, Until Freedom, encompasses the essence of our organization and our prisoner newsletter. Though we cannot bring each of our prisoners home to their loved ones right this instant, we will continue to provide small acts of support, like this newsletter, until they are free to come home. Until Freedom also means we will not give up, we will not compromise on justice, and we will accept nothing less than full freedom, until freedom. We are fighting for freedom, towards freedom, and until freedom and may we soon be successful in this fight.
